Bits and pieces of my life. I am a lifelong Christian. I have been married for over 42 years to Stan. No children. We have 1 Chihuahua, Christopher Robin, and 3 cats named Capt. Fishipants (a rare MALE calico), Daphne Doolittle, Amelia Peabody. We have 9 nieces/nephews and 10 grandnieces/nephews whom we love. My hobbies are genealogy, reading, digital scrapbooking, history, dogs, homemaking. This is a personal blog, not a business. I share what interests me I am not selling or making a profit.

Another Snow
We may have a snow once a year but some years even sneak by with no snow. I love those years! We've had 2 snows so far this year. Yesterday it started snowing about 3:00pm and, at my house, I think we got 4". When it starts snowing, my husband likes to get out and ride in it. I like to get Krispy Kreme donuts. So, when he got home from work, we went for a ride and got me some hot, fresh Krispy Kremes.

Once we came back in, Stan made supper and then we snuggled up and watched a movie. It continued to snow.

This morning we woke up to this beautiful site in our front yard.

The only regret I have is that I had the truck cleaned this week thinking it was all over. It's pretty, but I'm ready for Spring!

Simple Steps For When You Get Home
When you come in the door, there are a couple of tips for helping you stay organized. Receipts and incoming mail make their own clutter, but if you follow my tips it might help you out.

Receipt Clutter
Two of the biggest clutter creaters are incoming mail and incoming receipts. Maybe you don't keep your receipts but I do. At least for a year. I have a basket for receipts to go in and another for incoming mail. Then when I get a chance I shuffle through the reciepts and then store them in a Receipts Binder.

Here is a short video with some of my tips. It's not professional but it gets my point across.
You can use an accordion file or file folders instead of a binder.
