Delle Wilder Gasque Greenville Delle Wilder Gasque, 72, of Greenville, SC passed away after a long illness at her home for the last three years at the Cascades Verde on Monday, January 19. According to everyone who knew her, Delle was the kindest, sweetest, and most gentle person. Delle was originally from Clinton, SC, the daughter of Robert Perry Wilder and Shadie Mae Skinner Wilder, sister of Donny Wilder and the wife of Richard "Dick" Latimer Gasque. She also lived in New Hartford, CT and Lilburn, Ga. Delle graduated from Furman University. She went on to be an elementary school teacher, taught nursery school and was elected to the school board in New Hartford, CT; wrote consumer education columns for newspapers in Torrington, CT and Lilburn, GA; and owned and ran an Express Services employment business in Duluth, GA with her husband where they placed hundreds of people in jobs each year for almost 20 years. Delle traveled to Africa twice, visited France, England and Mexico, and loved cooking, dancing the shag with Dick and making a beautiful home for her family. Delle is survived by her brother Donny Wilder and his wife Genie Wilder of Clinton, SC; and her daughters Ashley Gasque and her husband Stephen van Camp of Washington, DC and Amelia Gasque Holcombe and her husband Michael Holcombe and their daughters Claudia and Virginia Holcombe of Johns Island, SC and her sister-in-law, Celia Gasque, of Greenville, SC and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer special thanks and gratitude to the staff of Cascades assisted living memory care, particularly the team in Grace House. Your care and support for Delle will be forever remembered and appreciated by her family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Robert and Shadie Wilder Scholarship Fund at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC or to the Michael J.
