Just One Look by Harlan Coben

A housewife, Grace Lawson, picks up a pack of photos at her local photomat. As she flips through them an old picture falls out. It's about 15 years old and there are some men and women. One woman is crossed out and one of the men appears to be her husband. When she shows her husband the photo he refuses to talk about it and immediately leaves the house. He disappears and it's up to her to find out what happened to him and what the picture signifies. While trying to protect her children and keep things normal for them (a strain for the reader) she begins to question and show the picture around.

Her own tragic past comes into focus. She was a survivor of a crush during a Jimmy X concert called the Boston Massacre. Eighteen young people died and she was seriously injured but she survived. Did her own past have any bearing on the disappearance of her husband?

This was a tense drama and you don't find out all the answers until the last page. The violence was too intense, some bad language, but the story was solid and a good read.
