So you have money to burn?

Do you have money to burn?
I believe in healthy capitalism. I think when people are making money for themselves, they will be more creative, harder workers, and produce better quality because it's in their best interests to do so. But every human being has an evil nature that we are born with. And that evil nature, left unchecked, leads us to sin and sin excessively. If God is good enough to bless us with money, instead of using it wisely, too many of us fall into selfishness, greed and gluttony. Excessive spending on ridiculous things is sinful. Once we, and our families, are comfortable and well taken care of, it would be better to give that money to others in need (doing it responsibly). Don't burn it up in sinful nothings!

Give it cheerfully. Store up for youself treasures in heaven by giving excessively instead of spending excessively. Don't waste money. Don't give it to get something in return. So many rich people give money to charities but it's not without strings. They want to be recognized, applauded, an entree into some hoity toity society, a favor, special treatment, political favors for their business, etc. Don't waste money by giving it to charities or individuals that are irresponsible and use the money for their own selfish desires. Give wisely, ask God for direction, release it, do it anonymously and don't expect anything in return.

This is a Sotheby's Grade D Flawless White Diamond. At 108 karats it sold for $16,000,000. And it sold! That means someone paid $16 million for this diamond that fits in the palm of your hand.

Malachi 3: 8-10
"Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, 'In what way have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field," Says the Lord of hosts; "And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land," Says the Lord of hosts.

Yes, you are seeing this correctly! This is a solid gold toilet. This is for people who poop solid gold poop! I've never met one of these people but....

Luke 11: 39-42
Then the Lord said to him, "Now you Pharisees make the outside of the cup and dish clean, but your inward part is full of greed and wickedness. Foolish ones! Did not He who made the outside make the inside also? But rather give alms of such things as you have; then indeed all things are clean to you. But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone."

This is not the Department of Revenue in Washington, DC. This was someone's mansion! They built this huge institute...er...mansion for themselves. Of course, since then, they've died and no one person could afford to keep it up so it's been made into some type of museum.

II Corinthians 8
Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia: that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality. For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond thier ability, they were freely willing, imploring us with much urgency that we would recieve the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And not only as we had hoped, but they first give themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God. So we urged Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also complete this grace in you as well. But as you abound in everything - in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us - see that you abound in this grace also. I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others. for you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that thorugh He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poveryt might become rich. And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have. For if there is afirst a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have. For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened; but by an equality, taht now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack - that there may be equality. As it is written, "He who gathere much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack." But thanks be to God who puts the same earnest car for you into the heart of Titus. For he not only accepted the exhortation, but being more diligent, he went to you of his own accord. And we have sent with him the brother who praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches, and not only that, but who was also chosen by the churches to travel with us with this gift, which is adminstered by us to the glory of the Lord Himself and to show your ready mind, avoiding this: that anyone whould blame us in this lavish gift which is adminstered by us - providing honorabl things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. And we have sent with them our brother whom we have often proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, because of the great confidence which we have in you. If anyone inquires about Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker concerning you. Or if our brethren are inquired about, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ. Therefore show to them and before the churces the proof of your love and of our boasting on your behalf.

A must have accessory...the solid gold bra. Yes, I was able to find photos of solid gold bras and diamond studded bras. Evidently there IS a market out there for these.

II Corinthians 9
Now concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you; for I know your willingness, about which I boast of you to the Macedonians, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has stirred up the majority. Yet I have sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this respect, that, as I said, you may be ready; lest if some Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we (not to mention you!) should be ashamed of this confident boasting. Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren to go to you ahead of time, and prepare your generous gift beforehand, which you had previously promised, that it may be ready as a matter of generosity and not as a grudging obligation. But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written, "He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever." Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, while, through the proof of this ministry they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, and by their prayer for you who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Do you know what this is? Solid gold, diamond studded teeth grills. Just another accessory. If you've run out of fingers and toes to put rings on, you've studded your ears from top to bottom and you have too many necklaces and bracelets on...then you need one more place to add bling! Your teeth!

Proverbs 11: 24-25
There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.
Galatians 6: 7-10
Do not be decieved, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

This platinum and diamond handbag is too small to hold the money it cost to purchase the thing!

Deuteronomuy 15: 7-8, 10-11
If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs...You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing, the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand. For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, "You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land."

Ah, yes, what better way to spend money than guzzling it down. This 1787 bottle of Chateau Lafitte sold for $160,000 in 1985.

I Chronicles 29: 16-17
O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have prepared in order to build You a house for Your holy name, is from Your hand, and is all Your own. I know also my God, that You test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here to offer willingly to You.

This is a 2007 Bugatti Veyron that sells for $1,700,000.

Matthew 6: 19-21
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Mark 10: 17
Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?" So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not murder,' 'Do not steal,' 'Do not bear false witness,' 'Do not defraud,' 'Honor your father and your mother.' " And he answered and said to Him, "Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth." Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me." But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, "How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!" And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, "Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, "Who then can be saved?" But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible". Then Peter began to say to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You. So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time-houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions-and in the age to come, eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first."

It seems that everyone must have their own private jet. This is a nice one for $48,000,000.

James 5: 1-6
Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabath. You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.m You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.
